Beautiful Liberia

I am watching my first sunset in Liberia. It is the first one because it hasn't stopped raining since I got here. Liberia is a strip of land along the coast with beaches everywhere. Like many other places in Monrovia, my temporary housing is just a few steps from the beach. Though the beach is polluted and dangerous for expats, it is gorgeous. I am on a balcony on the third floor, watching the waves and hearing the overwhelmingly loud sound of waves and crickets while watching the gorgeous sunset over the Atlantic. I think Liberia is starting to grow on me…
