This is the first of a series of pictures from Liberia. The photos document a trip to Roberstport, a small beach town north of the capital, Monrovia. It is comprised of about 150 pictures that provide a glimpse of Liberian culture, poverty, and natural beauty. The album starts with a few pictures of Monrovia (Monrovia will be covered in a future album). It is followed by a series of pictures of Duala, a densely populated area on the outskirts of Monrovia. In Duala, I photographed several murals and billboards, including the one used for the cover of this album. Next is Robertsport, a true paradise with virgin beaches, warm water, fisherman villages, and the remains of a sunken ship buried in the rocks. There I found a kid, Exodus, who wanted to pose for my pictures. His T-shirt caught my eye immediately and added a colorful touch to many pictures. Finally, there are two series of storm pictures. The first was taken at Robertsport and it was absolutely magical; the sky was flashing like a stroboscopic light and lightings would struck the water many times per minute. The second storm series was taken from where I currently live in Monrovia. The storms here are fantastic!
